working together
There is no single way organisations work with Jumpseat Leadership.
Because no two organisations are starting from the same place.
Some leaders already have a clear sense of what isn’t working.
Others know something needs to change but can’t yet see it clearly.
Our role is to help you understand and strengthen the conditions shaping how your people think, act, and perform.
Where We Start
In many cases, the work begins by creating clarity. The Fear Index Assessment™ helps leaders see how people are experiencing the organisation — and where those conditions may be shaping behaviour in ways that limit performance.
It provides a clear view of patterns such as hesitation, silence, reduced ownership, or inconsistency across teams.
Not to diagnose individuals. But to understand the environment people are operating within.

Making Sense of What You See
Insight only becomes valuable when it is understood.
We work with leadership teams to interpret what the Fear Index Assessment™ reveals — connecting the data to real experiences across the organisation.
This is where leaders begin to recognise:
-
what is happening beneath the surface
-
why certain patterns continue to appear
-
and where their attention will have the greatest impact

Strengthening the Conditions
From there, the focus shifts to action.
Using the practices of Jumpseat Leadership — Commitment, Humble Confidence, and Belonging — we work with leaders to strengthen the conditions shaping behaviour.
This is not about introducing something new. It is about shifting how leadership shows up in everyday moments:
-
how decisions are made
-
how conversations happen
-
how ownership is encouraged
-
how people experience the environment around them

How the Work Shows Up
The work takes different forms depending on what is needed.
Sometimes it begins with a keynote that shifts how people think.
Sometimes it is a workshop that helps teams turn insight into action.
Sometimes it is ongoing leadership work that supports organisations through change, growth, or critical moments.
Often, it is a combination — designed to connect insight, leadership, and application over time.
What Changes
As the conditions change, behaviour begins to shift.
People speak up more.
Ownership increases.
Decisions become clearer.
Collaboration improves.
Not because they were told to. But because the environment allows them to.

What This Requires
This work is not about quick fixes.
It requires leaders who are willing to:
-
look honestly at the conditions inside their organisation
-
reflect on how those conditions are being shaped
-
and take responsibility for strengthening them
Because leadership is not just about what we say. It is about the environment we create.

Leadership Development
For many organisations, the starting point is simple: See what is currently difficult to see. The Fear Index Assessment™ provides that clarity.
From there, we work together to strengthen the conditions that allow people — and performance — to grow.
This work is led by Peter Docker and Ashleigh Riddle, combining deep leadership experience with a practical understanding of how organisations operate under pressure. Peter’s background spans over 17 years working at the most senior levels across industries including oil & gas, construction, healthcare, banking, media, hospitality, and more — across 90+ countries. Together, we’ve worked with organisations such as Google, Four Seasons, GE Healthcare, Accenture, American Express, EY, NBC Universal, and many others.
What matters most is not the industry. It’s how people experience the conditions they work within — and how those conditions shape what becomes possible.
